Grand Knight: Tommy Goodson Email: Web site: Our history begins with Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary's Church in New Haven, CT, and some of  his parishioners. The Connecticut state legislature officially chartered  the Knights of Columbus as a fraternal benefit society on March 29, 1882. The Order is still true to its founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity. The Knights of Columbus has grown from several members in one council to more than 14,000 councils and 1.8 million members throughout the United States, Canada, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Poland, the  Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, Cuba, Guatemala, Guam and Saipan. The Father James Keenan Council meets in St. Joseph Hall at 1008 Vandora Springs Road in Garner, NC which is next to St. Mary, Mother of the Church.  The council business meeting  is held on the 1st Thursday of the month at 7:30 PM. Our family social meeting is at 7:00 PM the 3rd Thursday of the month.  If you are interested in joining or have questions, feel free to come to a meeting.  If you cannot come to a meeting you can ask any one of our Knights (wearing badges) at church or at functions, or email the Grand Knight.
